Proposed Experimental Closure Chock Lane, Westbury on Trym

Consultation Overview

To improve pedestrian safety on Chock Lane and prevent its use by through traffic it is proposed to close Chock Lane at the Eastfield Road junction to motorised vehicles. It is proposed to introduce the closure for an experimental period of up to 18 months in order assess the impact of displaced traffic on other streets in the local road network.

To gauge community support for the proposed experimental closure of Chock Lane.

What Happens Next

The results will be used to gauge support for the proposal within the local community. Subject to the outcome of the consultation the next step will be to undertake detailed design, develop alternative measures or abandon it.
