Architects FAT will present three redevelopment options and discuss the ideas behind them.
Presentations will be at 12noon, 1pm and 2pm on 18 April, at the Reception, 1st Floor, City of Bristol College, Marksbury Rd.
Drawings will be on display and team members available throughout to discuss people's views and answer questions. Design proposals based on the most successful ideas will be presented to residents and stakeholders at a third consultation event in summer.
Update
The information presented at the second public consultation held on the 18th April 2009 for the redevelopment of Kingswear Road, Torpoint Road and the Marksbury Road College site is now available online at http://ktmcommunityinvolvement.blogspot.com
Three options were presented for the development – minimum density development, medium density development and maximum density development. The objectives and design aspirations also form part of the presentation.
Architects FAT say "For our ideas to work, it is important that they reflect local people's ideas."
FAT lead the team engaged by Bristol City Council and its partners, the Homes & Communities Agency and Knightstone Housing Association, to "transform a landmark site which has suffered from a lack of investment and opportunity" with improved housing and local amenities.
