Consultation Overview

As part of the planning conditions associated with the ongoing redevelopment of the former Dovercourt Garage, it is proposed to review the existing parking restrictions within the vicinity of the site. Additional parking restrictions are also proposed in the area to improve access, for local residents and businesses, but also for larger vehicles serving the area.We are also proposing to remove those which are no longer deemed necessary. There will, however, be some loss of evening and overnight parking, but this is only where the road is already too narrow to park on both sides without blocking the footway.

Why We Are Consulting

To seek local residents comments on the proposed traffic calming measures, and to ensure that they meet the requirements of the local community.

What Happens Next

The results of the consultation will be used to develop a final detailed design that will be used in the statutory public advertisement of the proposals.
