Consultation Overview

The council has developed proposals for a Pilot Residents’ Parking Scheme in the Kingsdown Area.A plan showing the proposed waiting restrictions (www.bristol.gov.uk/respark), and a copy of the site notice (www.bristol.gov.uk/respark) detailing how to make objections to the proposals, are available to view online.Please note objections must be made in writing to the Head of Legal Services – at the address quoted on the site notice.

Why We Are Consulting

The proposed Kingsdown Residents’ Parking Scheme will be advertised on 11th May 2010 as part of the statutory process the council must undertake in order to introduce a Resident’s Parking Scheme in the area.

Full details of the proposals are contained in the draft order, which together with maps, a Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the order and a copy of the orders to be varied or revoked, may be inspected at the Council House, College Green (callers should ask for Statutory Orders, Legal Division) between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.; and at Cheltenham Road Public Library, Cheltenham Road and Redland Public Library, Whiteladies Road during normal opening hours.

What Happens Next

The results of the statutory advertisement will be reported to Cabinet, who will then decide how the scheme will be progressed.
