Bristol is the country’s first Cycling City and we are building several new routes for cyclists and walkers. The aim is to greatly increase the number of people cycling in Bristol.
Stapleton Rd (from Muller Rd to Fishponds Rd) is the final link in an important radial route from the City centre out to Eastville Park, UWE, Fishponds and Frenchay. At the moment cyclists are unable to travel north against the one-way flow of traffic, and cycling south with the traffic, on such a narrow road, is intimidating.
