Council Plan 2011-15

Overview

The Council Plan, which sets out the Council's priorities, is due to be published in April 2011 and will replace the the current Corporate Improvement Plan 2008-11. The Plan aims to give a clear picture of how the Council, along with its partners can improve the wellbeing and quality of life of the borough's communities.

Why We Are Consulting

In order to develop the plan the Council needs to carry out extensive engagement and consultation activities with partners, elected members, staff, town & parish councils, local businesses, community groups and the public to gather veiws, opinions and information to influence the Council's priorities and ensure it focuses on the needs and oppportunties of our communities.

Results

There has been an extensive amount of work carried out to gather research and information which has been used to inform the development of the Council Plan. The final plan contains key actions arranged under seven strategic objectives which focus on what was felt to be a priority for the borough of Allerdale.
