Central and Hindpool Quality of Life Survey

Overview

Central and Hindpool Neighbourhood Management Team commissioned a postal survey of households within the Central Barrow and Hindpool areas of Barrow.

Why we are consulting

There are often marked differences in perceptions of quality of life and local service delivery between Cumbria as a whole and the economically deprived Neighbourhood Management Initiative Areas (NMIAs).  This led to the Cumbria Strategic Partnership commissioning a Quality of Life survey in 2006, in order to pinpoint any gaps in service provision in these deprived areas. In 2007 the Furness Strategic Partnership repeated the survey to assess any change in perception and benchmark results with the previous survey.

This survey has now been repeated in 2010 to assess perception of Council and Local Authority services in the Neighbourhood Management Initiative Areas, in Barrow.  To compare results with the previous survey findings to assess any change in perception over the last 3 years.
