Review of Licensing Policy 2010
Overview
Barrow Borough Council is currently undertaking a review of its Statement of Licensing Policy under the Licensing Act 2003 and is consulting with the Police, Fire Authority and other interested parties. As part of the review the Council is taking this opportunity to invite residents and businesses in Barrow Borough area to comment on the contents of a draft version of the policy.
The Council must undertake a review of its Statement of Licensing Policy every three years and the new policy will be implemented by January 2011 in order to comply with the legislative timetable.
Copies of the draft policy are available below and from the reception area at the Town Hall. Any comments should be submitted in writing, using the form provided, to Mr P A Newton, Commercial Services Team Leader, Barrow Borough Council, Town Hall, Duke Street, Barrow-in-Furness, LA14 2LD or by emailing commercial@barrowbc.gov.uk by no later than 27th September 2010.
