The Land Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) will allocate land for new housing and employment development and protect green spaces from development in South Lakeland (outside the National Parks) in accordance with the adopted Core Strategy. The publication documents comprise the following documents:

• The Land Allocations DPD and Proposals Map and settlement inset maps
• The Sustainability Appraisal Report and Appropriate Assessment Report;
• The Consultation Statement; and
• Supporting documents that are relevant to the preparation of the Land Allocations DPD.

You are invited to submit representations on the "Soundness" of the proposed submission Land Allocations DPD from Friday 2 March 2012 to 5pm Tuesday 17 April 2012. The Inspector who will carry out the Independent Examination is only required to consider representations received within this period.
