Why we are consulting
The Council is now seeking your views on 3 additional matters:
- Alternative Sites put forward by respondents to the earlier Land Allocations consultation (January - April 2011);
- the Time Span of the Land Allocations document
- The approach to development in Small Villages, Hamlets and the Countryside.
.We would also like to explain the following important points on the Further Consultation:
- it is only concerned with the 3 matters listed above, and not the earlier consultation;
- you do not need to repeat any comments you have already made in the previous consultation;
- the alternative sites have been proposed by others and not the District Council – you need not repeat your earlier views on alternative sites if these are unchanged;
- it will not be practicable to assess and consult on any more new sites from this point;
- we have sought to check the accuracy of the lists and maps of alternative sites with those who proposed them. But if necessary during the consultation corrections to maps and lists will be posted on this web page.
