SLDC Priorities

Overview

South Lakeland District Council's Corporate Plan sets out the priority activities that will be delivered through a whole council approach by services.

The Community Consultation Roadshow ’Your Council Your Say’ that took place during October 2010, highlighted the priorities that were important to our customers. We would like to know if you still agree with these priorities.

Why we are consulting

The Corporate Plan ensures the delivery of the goals of the organisation and community.  Successful performance management of the Plan will provide clarity for leaders, managers and staff to see their purpose as continually improving what they do and the services they provide to our communities.

The Corporate Plan has also been key during the production of the council budget and medium term financial plan. Resources & Partnerships Overview & Scrutiny will monitor performance of the Corporate Plan along with the council’s finance information looking at performance, risk and costs.

The Draft Capital and Revenue Budget Reports for the 15th December 2011 Full Council meeting are available below. As indicated in the recommendations of the reports, the final versions will take into account the results of this Consultation.

What happens next

Our Senior Management Team will look at your responses and use them to help us to decide what you need from your Council when planning our service delivery and budgets.

The Draft Capital and Revenue Budget Reports for the 15th December 2011 Full Council meeting are available in the document links.  The final versions will take into account the results of the Priorities Consultation and be reported at Full Council Meeting on 23rd February 2012.
