Overview

SURF (Service User Rotherham Forum) group met on 23/26/30 April + 14/17/21/24/28  May + 4/7/14/1/8/21 June.  The group come together twice a week to discuss, plan and organise activities.  The group also attended the following: 22 & 30 April DVD Filming and production for Needle Exchange promotional DVD. 26 April Drug awareness session for Maltby Teaching Staff. 29 April SURF representative attended Harm Reduction Meeting. 22 April Service User Newsletter meeting.  1 May Carers, 4 May Service User Open Forum meeting, 5 May Carer, 6 May Drug awareness session, 7 May UK Recovery Conference 10 May Carers Ministry of Food, 11 May SURF, 14 May Recovery group meeting, 14 May Ministry of Food, 17 May PCT Alcohol Service Survey. 21/28 May + 4/11/18 June Ministry of Food, 24-28 May PCT Alcohol Service Survey, 28 May Lifeline Milton House Project, 1 June SURF, 6 June Drug awareness for MIND, 9 June DVD filming, 17 June SOVA, 18 June Recovery Forum Group, 21 June D&A Awareness for Driving Instructors Ass

Why We Are Consulting

The group meets to discuss/plan and organise SURF activities, this includes any research to complete actions for planning and development group meetings, involving service users, discussing minutes from meetings attended, producing newsletter information, provide a collective voice and if necessary plan additional ways to collate service user views.
