Rotherham Older Peoples Experience of Services
Overview
Rotherham Older Peoples Experience of Services (ROPES) is an informal and friendly group of older people (50+) who are interested in influencing the way health and social care services are provided for older people.
This is a regular monthly meeting that takes the form of a consultation forum.
Each month older people are able to hear details of new services, developments and plans, and give their views on these, and raise other issues important to them.
Why We Are Consulting
We want to support older people in making sure that their views inform how we plan and develop services, in order to ensure services are accessible to older people.
At the March meeting, Dr Angela Tod attended about the Keeping Warm in Later Life project (KWILT), ROPES members are acting as a wider reference group and have been involved in this project from the start with members sitting on the steering group. Dr Tod presented an overview and update of the research and issues arising from work done to date.
