A New Vision for Older People's Day Services
Overview
This consultation addresses proposed changes to older people's day services in the borough. It focuses on the four day centres for older people with high and complex needs, who meet the Council’s eligibility criteria. These are Cloverdale Court, Gaynesford Lodge, Cheam Priory and Belsize Court.
Why we are consulting
We are proposing a new model of day services in the borough, and want your views on our proposed model and our specific recommendation to deliver the new service through three sites instead of four.
What happens next
This consultation will close on Friday 1st October, we will then report the outcome of the consultation to the Council’s Executive and a final decision taken on the recommendation to close Belsize Court Day Centre.

Results
The recommendations made in the report to The Executive on 4th October 2010 were agreed (see link). It was also noted that the decision would not preclude a social enterprise being established by the staff at Gaynesford Lodge.
