Overview

The Preferred Options document identifies proposed sites for future development outside Sutton Town Centre, including Hackbridge, to meet the long-term needs as set out in Sutton's Core Planning Strategy, including locations for proposed new housing, healthcare facilities, schools and other facilities. It sets out detailed development management policies to be used to help decide planning applications; and also contains an Appendix of Proposed Alterations to the Adopted UDP Proposals Map and Parking Standards. The draft DPD covers all of the London Borough of Sutton.

Why We Are Consulting

Public involvement early last year helped identify possible policies and sites. We have now developed our Preferred Options for the next stage of this process. The Site Development Policies Document forms part of the Council's Local Development Framework (LDF) that will, once adopted, replace the Sutton Unitary Development Plan.

What Happens Next

Once the consultation has closed, we will analyse the responses and your view will help us move towards developing a final version of the Site Development Policies document.
